The twelfth Moto2 race of the year took place this Sunday at Silverstone Circuit, and ended with both Red Bull KTM Ajo riders placing inside the Top 10: Brad Binder’s ninth place being his second consecutive Top 10.

Brad made another great raceday comeback at the British GP. Starting from twentieth position, the South African gained seven places on the first lap, steadily moving up the order to battle for eighth with his teammate.

After 12 rounds of the season, Brad is fourteenth with 45 points. He will try to continue adding to his total in two weeks’ time, at the San Marino GP.

“I really need to learn how to set a fast lap in qualifying, because it’s very annoying to have to start from so far back. In the race I know I can be up at the front, I just have to work hard to get a good position on the grid. Looking at the weekend overall, I am happy I gave 100%, even when I didn’t feel quite right; on the last few laps I felt better but I was not completely comfortable. I was able to get into the Top 10, so I’m satisfied with that. There is still a lot of work to be done, but I know that step by step we can be stronger and finish higher up.”
