After coming so close to pole position yesterday, the Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team completed a great weekend in style, mastering a remarkable second position at the Dutch GP by Brad Binder, achieving his first podium of the 2019 season.

The South African made a superb start from second, taking the lead on the first corner. Brad maintained his position in first place for two thirds of the contest, holding off the attacks from the chasing group. The Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 rider battled hard in the final part of the race, giving it everything to finish second and notch up a well-deserved podium.

Brad’s podium sees him move up into eigth place in the World Championship standings, with 64 points. The next round on the calendar for the Red Bull KTM Ajo Moto2 team is the German Grand Prix, which will be held at the Sachsenring Circuit from 5th-7th July.

“I’m very happy because today we finally took a big step forward. At the beginning and halfway through the race I felt comfortable and I was riding really well, pushing hard. The last part was a bit trickier, but I tried to work as much as I could to maintain the position. I want to thank my team, because in the warm-up we still had some issues. However, we found the solution and had the bike ready for the race. We are definitely on the right track, I’m motivated and looking forward to continuing to work in the next few contests.”
